Do you need to plan an academic excursus, vocational internship, or research advocate in a foreign country and cannot qualify for an Erasmus or Holland Scholarship grant? Therefore, if so, one can consider having a grant from the Radboud University Profiling Fund – the Individual Travel Grant (IRS).
Here, you find a special grant meant to cover all other expenses that you will have incurred during the study abroad time. These costs could range from tickets, permits, accommodation costs, and immunizations. If such extra expenses are not relevant, for instance, when undertaking a virtual study exchange, you cannot receive the grant. Also, your study programme or faculty must endorse the trip because it is important for your exchange to be relevant to your area of study.
Eligibility
To qualify for an Individual Travel Grant for studies, internships, or research abroad, you must meet the following criteria:
- You must be enrolled as a full-time student in a bachelor’s or master’s programme at Radboud University.
- Your exchange programme must have a minimum duration of two consecutive months.
- The exchange programme must take place outside your home country.
- You must not be a recipient of an Erasmus grant, Holland Scholarship Programme grant, or a grant from the Radboud Honours Academy.
- You must be earning academic credits.
- You must not have previously received a Holland Scholarship or Individual Travel Grant for study, (medical) internship, or research during your current academic cycle.
- Your departure must be scheduled for more than two weeks from the application date.
Benefits
The compensation in the case of a stay in a European country is calculated at 200 euros per month, whereas, in a country outside Europe, the amount is 300 euros per month. The grant amount you will receive is based on the number of days of your study-related stay abroad, but there is a maximum of four months.
